What Myanmar requires: SSB employer forms

Each form has a specific deadline. The Social Security Board (SSB) operates through township SSB offices under the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population (MoLES). Forms below are mandatory for any employer with 5 or more employees registered with SSB.

Process — how to file with SSB

  1. Maintain an up-to-date IP register reconciled to the wage register monthly.
  2. Compute monthly contributions: 2% employee + 3% employer on each wage base capped at MMK 300,000.
  3. Prepare monthly contribution form listing each IP, wage, and contribution.
  4. Pay at the SSB-designated bank or directly at the township SSB office.
  5. Submit return + acknowledgement; retain copy.
  6. For new starters / leavers, submit IP registration / deregistration within 30 days.

Employer takeaway

File the SSB monthly contribution return at the township SSB office by the 15th; register IPs within 30 days; deregister leavers within 30 days; file dependants and the annual summary as required. Late payment incurs penalty interest under the Social Security Law 2012. Retain SSB records 7 years; the SSB-related accident register 5 years under OSH Law 2019.
